2/1/2010 Cottage Grove United (formerly Traveling Soccer) will be overseeing the implementation of both a spring, summer and fall recreational soccer program beginning this spring.  Given the opportunities that this presents for our youth  the Grove Soccer Board does not feel it is prudent to continue mananging and directing the current Grove summer program.   With this said, it makes sense to merge Grove Recreational Soccer in the Cottage Grove United Recreational Soccer program.   This will benefit the parents and the players as there will be only one board overseeing the Recreational Program - namely Cottage Grove United. The new spring program provides an option for players and families that have had concerns with the heat/weather and are partial to summer family vacations which we fully support and endorse.  The spring program will run from April 24th through June 12th.   Online registration opens February 1st and closes March 1st.  Walk in registrations will be Saturday, February 20th from 9am -1pm and Thursday, February 25th from 6pm-8pm at the Youth Service Bureau. The summer program will run from July 17th through September 11th.  Online registrations open March 15th and close April 30th.   Walk in registrations will be announced at a later date.  Check the CGAA web at www.cgaa.org for more information. On behalf of myself and the entire Grove Recreational Soccer Board I want to thank all the coaches and volunteers that have come forward every year to help make the Grove Recreational Soccer program a success.  Your work and dedication has been greatly appreciated. I would like to extend a VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to Ned Ammons, Nanette Marsh, Kelly Bloch, Kari Irber, Pete Marsh, Teri Long, Jenny Ammons, and Julie Dietz for volunteering their time and effort all those years to make Grove Soccer the success that is was!  It was Greatly Appreciated!!
